Location: UA Horton Plaza
Player(s): Dax Shepard, Tom Arnold, and producer Andrew Panay
Backstory: Comic-Con attendees were invited to a special advance screening of “Hit and Run,” a comedy written and co-directed by Dax Shepard and starring his fiancé Kristen Bell, Tom Arnold. Bradley Cooper, Kristen Chenoweth and Joy Bryant. The movie was a way for Shepard to pay homage to his favorite film, “Smokey and the Bandit.” Driving is definitely at the core of this movie but it’s also got an intelligently written and hilarious script. Shepard is an avid gear head who did all of his own driving in the movie and even supplied two of his own cars for the shoot. After the screening, Shepard, Arnold and producer Andrew Panay stuck around for nearly an hour to answer questions from the audience. The movie opens on Aug. 24.
