Backstory: After a painfully long hiatus, “Community” finally returned to the airwaves last Thursday to their best ratings since…well, ever. All of the fan fervor plastered throughout the interwebs apparently paid off and the relief and gratitude was apparent with show creator Dan Harmon and actresses Gillian Jacobs and Yvette Nicole Brown. During the panel we were treated to a yet to be aired episode that involved blanket forts and a man named “Subway” that was absolutely hysterical. It was a really cool experience getting to laugh along to one of your favorite shows with a couple hundred other fans.
But before that I was fortunate enough to participate in separate round table discussions with Harmon, Jacobs and Brown. All three were eager to talk about the show, their fans and how a fourth season is looking more and more likely. Six seasons and a movie, here we come!
Show creator Dan Harmon talks about fan influence and drops huge tidbits about upcoming episodes.[Audio]
Gillian Jacobs discusses whether cancellation fears have influenced darker turns with the show, and the craziness of filming the “Remedial Chaos Theory” episode.
Yvette Nicole Brown talks about having a “Cosby Show” crush for a TV husband, and how much the actors influence the characters.
