In 2006 I purchased the domain for after talking to a friend about unfulfilled dreams. The idea for the site had been kicking around in my head for years but I never let it flourish beyond my imagination. I decided it was time to take the plunge and launch the site.

In the beginning it was just a Web page on my MobileMe account and then in December 2007 I moved over to WordPress so I could more easily update the pages. My husband, Harley, helped me with the design and I was off.

I have a background in journalism so it’s been a struggle to adapt to the rules of the blogosphere. I was trained to be impartial and remove my personal opinion from the story. Yet blogging is a much easier style to write in, especially when it comes to reporting on entertainment which is subjective.

I’ve had countless stories I’ve wanted to post quickly but restrained myself from doing because I needed to find a way to write them in a manner that would befit a print publication – despite the fact that is completely digital.

In 2011 I’ve decided to embrace the online format that exists in so I can start writing and stop thinking about how to write.

Thank you to everyone who reads the site and has taken the time to post a comment. Here’s to a fresh start in 2011.
