The Black Beauty, the car from the forthcoming Columbia Pictures release, THE GREEN HORNET, is making its way across the country and stops in San Diego for a series of appearances on Nov 10. This is one of the actual cars driven by HORNET star Seth Rogen in the film, and it will be on display for car and film enthusiasts alike. Also on display will be Kato’s Motorcycle, the actual motorcycle driven by The Green Hornet’s sidekick Kato, played in the film by Jay Chou.

The Black Beauty is far from your average car! It is a totally custom 1964 Chrysler Imperial, with a GM Performance ZZ454 500 Horsepower Crate Motor and a Race Trans Turbo 400 Manual Valve Body Transmission. That might sound like a lot of technical jargon, but broken down into layman’s terms, it means that this car ROCKS! Plus, it features all of the tricks and gadgets required out of a top of the line crime fighting machine, including two .30 Caliber operational machine guns strapped right to the hood!
The Beauty will be making its first stop on Nov. 10 from 10 to 11 a.m. to deliver toys to AJ’s Kids Crane in support of Rady’s Children’s Hospital located in the IKEA Parking Lot in Mission Valley. From there, it will head to Comickaze at 5517 Clairemont Mesa Blvd from noon to 2 p.m. The Black Beauty will then end the day at Carl’s Jr with 91X located at 3833 Convoy St. San Diego.
Drop by any of the stops to get your picture taken with the Beauty and motorcycle, and to pick up some exclusive GREEN HORNET merchandise while supplies last. All attendees will also have the opportunity to enter for a chance to become one of the first people to see the Green Hornet before it comes out in theatres! THE GREEN HORNET opens everywhere on Jan. 14, 2011.
