Get the posse together and prepare for a shootout when “Appaloosa” arrives on Blu-ray and DVD Jan. 13 from Warner Home Video.

“Appaloosa” follows Marshal Virgil Cole (Ed Harris) and deputy Everett Hitch (Viggo Mortensen) as law enforcement-for-hire who are brought into the crime-ridden town of “Appaloosa” to take back the streets from local outlaws.  In “Appaloosa”, Cole must struggle with his duty, his conscience and his love for a beautiful widow.

“Appaloosa” features Academy AwardTM nominee Ed Harris, who also serves as director and co-writer.  The film also stars Academy AwardTM nominee Viggo Mortensen (A History of Violence, The Lord of the Rings trilogy), Academy AwardTM winner Renee Zellweger (Cinderella Man, Chicago), and Academy AwardTM Winner Jeremy Irons (Eragon, Kingdom of Heaven).

“Appaloosa” will be available on Blu-ray for $35.99 and on single disc DVD for $28.98.

In Marshal Virgil Cole and deputy Everett Hitch’s line of work, you shoot quick, you shoot clean, and you reload straightaway. No remorse. No looking back. No feelings. Feelings get you killed. Paired as rivals in A History of Violence, Ed Harris (who also directs, produces and co-scripts) and Viggo Mortensen stand together as longtime friends and for-hire peacekeepers Cole and Hitch in this character-driven, bullet-hard Western based on Robert B. Parkers novel. Blood will spill in the town called “Appaloosa”.
